The [b]Galactic Federation of British Russia[/b] commonly called [b]British Russia[/b], is a Galactic Federation in Asia Russia and predominantly a Spacefaring Empire. On Earth it is bordered on the West and North by [nation]Arrstotzka[/nation] and [nation]Bellemontt[/nation] in the southwest, Northwest by [nation]Bordalina[/nation] and by the south-east by [nation]Flecatya[/nation]. British Russia has an estimated population of 5.006 Billion of all different Species (Human, Asari, Turian and other species that are in the Federation). British Russia (on Earth) comprises of 4 states (Willow Woods state, New Thessia, Palaven, New Britain) and numerous Space colonies, the two largest are Horizons, Neptune Station and Terra Nova.

British Russia's role in the world and the Galactic 'world' is that of a peacekeeper and a Military Nation. British Russia has many allies and Trade alliances, the strongest Allies of British Russia are [nation]Fantrum[/nation], [nation]Bellemontt[/nation], [nation]Commonwealth states of Britania[/nation] and any nation that is in the UPf (United Planetary Federation) and the newly established 'sister' faction to the federation the USS (Union of Socialist States). [b][u]1700 (The Dynasty Rebellion)[/u][/b] The British Russian people were getting tired of having a monarchy rule them, the monarchy saw the people as not a priority and as a result the people rebelled when the Queen (Queen Jane I) was out with an army to attack a oncoming invasion army of the Barbarians, a citizen known as [url=https://www.nationstates.net/nation=republic_of_british_russia/detail=factbook/id=477639]Walter Carson[/url] who will set to become the first councillor and a very important figure in British Russian history. he led the rebellion to the Queen's castle in the large city of Willow Woods, the capital and still is to this day. he trained civilians how to fight to secure victory, some of the guards joined up with him as they didn't want to kill family and friends. within hours the Castle was sieged by Walter and his rebellion he sat on the throne but didn't wish to be King, he wanted something that stood for the people, a government, his wife became his ambassador, the Duke of New Thessia became the General and at the time their was no Galactic Advisor, he threw out all the crown jewels and anything to do with the monarchy and promised to look out for the people, he promised elections where citizens can vote for a leader and a government to lead them. when Queen Jane arrived however she was in for a shock, when she saw the crown jewels being sold to a Velstado merchant vessel, she wanted to behead the person who did this, but guards and even the army she was with turned against her, Walter Carson stood before her and told her that the monarchy is gone and now a republic rules this nation, he offered her to be a normal citizen she refused and attacked Walter, the guards apprehended her and sent her to the prison block and she awaited her fair trial which saw her serve 3 years in prison before being released.

The government is made up of four main governmental figures, Councillor who has the final say on debates and brings up topics to discuss about british russia, they also attend Spaceway Congress on Reach when necessary, the Ambassador, they attend diplomatic meetings and other events, if the councillor is away they take over until the councillor returns, the General is the the only one out of the 4 that isn't elected but chosen when the previous General retires or dies, they're in charge and oversee the whole military and finally the newest governmental figure, the Galactic Advisor, they oversee space diplomacy and anything space related, they're in charge of he BRST&R science and research division.

Once a government is elected, they remain in power for 3-4 years, depending on how many terms the councillor is on, a councillor can run for a maximum of 3 terms, but can choose how many terms they wish to serve for.
