Nation/Ros muc

The Irish Peoples Kingdom of Ros Muc is a sovereign nation made up Connecticut, New York City, and Long Island, all formerly part of the United States of America prior to The Great War. People of Irish descent make up the vast majority of citizens, many of whom have emigrated from various parts of North America and Europe to the new Irish nation. Éire Nua (formerly Salisbury, CT), is the capital and is located in Taconic Mountains, part of the greater Appalachian Mountains and on the border of Isabelle Plantations and Mahnesape. Nua-Eabhrac (New York) is the largest city with over 5,000,000 residents and serves as the center of Irish culture, manufacturing, religion, healthcare, and higher education.

Ros Muc is a developing power in Sjurdland though politically it does differ with the other nations in the confederation. Manufacturing plays an important role in the economy and employees a majority of both adult males and females. Large mill complexes in Nua-Eabhrac, Bridgeport, Hartford, and New London all contribute to the national economy on a large scale. Full-time work is mandated among the majority of adults aged 18 to 56, part-time work from 15-17 and from 57-61 unless exempt for medical, psychological, or pardon from the Department of Workforce and Labour. Homelessness is banned and anyone deemed a "degenerate" by the court system is immediately executed. Welfare is given liberally to citizens who need it and contribute to society. All welfare is reviewed by the Department of Welfare and cases are revisited every 6 weeks. Unemployment due to skill shortages are rare, and current estimates give the effective unemployment rate at 0.92%.

Law and order is a large part of society, both politically and socially. The Department of Law Enforcement & Mental Rehabilitation is responsible for both all aspects of law enforcement including the Bureau of Prisons and the Board of Insanity. Large publicly funded mental hospitals exist, the largest of which is the Kings Park Insane Asylum and the Hartford Insane Asylum.
