Thracian Confederacy is a Federal Republic located in The Land of Kings and Emperors. The Confederacy consists of five states, partially independent in internal affairs but dependent of a central government leaded by a Chancellor in foreign affairs.
The Confederacy has abolished the central monarchy but regional governors still keep the title of "Viceroy", a title inherited from the previous regime. The Viceroys of each states are partially independent in internal affairs of their territories, though a federal government oversees much of the public works and foreign affairs of the country, as well as the general administrative branch and the military. The head of the state is given the title of "Chancellor", and aided by a "Vice Chancellor" which determined by the constitution that acts as the head of the state in the case of the absence of the Chancellor.
The Federal Republic is a democracy, which people elect the regional governors as well as the head of the state. Viceroys are elected once at every three years, while a Chancellor is in seven. Direct democracy is quite common via referendums alongside the elections, where the Confederate Government respects the opinion of public on most of the important bills. Viceroys get funding according to their objective efficency ratings.
The frighteningly efficient Confederate economy, worth 478 trillion Thracian Lire a year, is quite specialized and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Information Technology and Book Publishing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 155,120 Thracian Lire, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.
Effective administration is acknowledged by the international body, as the WA Member Nation has a 97% government efficency. Education, Social Welfare and Healthcare, respectively, gets the most funding from the Confederate Government, while religion is not funded at all, because of the equal stance to all religions and the adopted principal of "laicite". Though it is not prioritized, the nation still keeps a sizeable army, and an effective weapons industry.
