The Provincial Coalition of Vettrera (or Greater Valoria) is a Mixed-Format Democracy located in Northeastern Bethel Park and controlling a protectorate in Northern Atlantian Oceania. Despite holding all of its true territory inside of Bethel Park and not inside of Atlantian Oceania, most of its diplomatic and political links are to the Atlantian Oceanian community. The nation, now rising in international stature, has begun to prioritize education and welfare, though is now struggling with fears of domestic and international terrorism.

The World Assembly has done the following examination on Vettrera, which may or may not be accurate and is awaiting correction:

The Provincial Coalition of Vettrera is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Xavier McLeary with a fair hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 174 million enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the intricately layered and oddly formatted government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Valor City. The average income tax rate is 17%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Tourism and Gambling.

Voting is compulsory, government officials frequently cut taxes as a distraction from antics with their secretaries, businesses have become paranoid as waves of lawsuits sweep the nation, and discarded pennies litter the streets. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vettrera's national animal is the Deer, it has no official national religion, and its currency is the Delta Card.

The Panel

Vettrera's Unicameral Legislature. The Panel holds 240 seats. 20 seats are delivered to each province.
Vettrera's Panel is represented by 5 political parties: The Unified Party, Centrist Party, Freedom Party, Republican Party, and democratic party. Each of Vettrera's are provinces is awarded 20 seats in the Panel, below shows the current breakdown of the panel.
The National Panel
Party Seats Won
Democratic Party 102
Centrist Party 55
Republican Party 50
Unified Party 30
Freedom Party 3

Unified Party

The Unified Party runs on the contention that the provinces must stay united, and that provincial rights should be forfeited in favor of a more unified nation that awards more powers to the federal government. This contrasts to the inter-provincial tensions and rivalries that have been ingrained in Vettreran culture since the provinces all first united in the late 1800s, and also contrasts with greater tensions that existed before the alignment. Because of this stance, the party fails to generally win a large volume of spots in the Panel. However, the Unified Party has produced some of the most highly-approved presidents. This most notably includes former president Marshall Tadlock, who left office after a health scare (cancer, that he beat) with a 79% approval rating. Despite his approval rating, the panel would still not gain many Unified seats. The Unified Party is in favor of marriage equality, federal transportation systems, increased federal rights, progressive taxation, increased administration spending, universal health care, mixed economics, free borders gun control, and free contraception (save abortion).

Democratic Party

The Democratic Party currently is the leading party of the Vettreran Panel, and is also represented by current president Xavier McLeary. The Democratic party is socially liberal, and supports more provincial rights in contrast to the Unity party who is against more provincial rights. The Democratic Party is in favor of flat tax rates, a loose alliance of provinces, abandoning Oakbrook & Calvarie, gay marriage, and removing spirituality from the Vettreran budget. They also plan to reduce the education portion of the budget by giving the provinces more say in their curriculum for subjects like mathematics and the sciences.

Centrist Party

The Centrist Party is most successful on the provincial level, winning several governorships by handy margins. Their biggest support groups are in the provinces of Vicette and Polluxia. However, they have never been the leading party in the Panel, and seldom see themselves leading the Presidency for long stretches of time. The Centrist party is in favor of provincial deferment (sending issues down to the provinces when agreements cannot be reached), but has not made a formal stance on unity vs independence of the provinces. They also favor more lenient economic policies, but keeping the current welfare levels where they currently sit. They are okay with most things in the status quo, their platform is reorganized twice a year because of the nature of the party. Many independents simply caucus with the Centrist Party (note: running independent isn't allowed).

Republican Party

The Republican Party sees general success in the panel. They are widely supported in Eastern Vettrera. They have no stance on unity, and are not in favor of gun control or abortion. They feel that all government incentives for marriages should be removed, and that LGBT matters of marriage should be decided by the respective churches. They favor an increased defense budget, and favor increased incentives for industry and business. Abortion should be illegal, but contraceptives should be encouraged (but not forced to be funded). They have no official stance on transportation.

Freedom Party

The Freedom Party is generally unsuccessful, and hold no true influence. They are growing in approval though, and can be described as holding Libertarian values that are not completely set in stone.
