The Divine Empire of Vissegaard is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by the Order of Eagle with an even hand, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.027 billion Visses have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Alte Vissegaard. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 71%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vissegaard's national animal is the White Eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its currency is the Korna.

The Order of Eagle

Visegaard Empire is actually a stratocracy, ruled by the knight-like Order of Eagle. The Order itself consists of surprisingly high amount of citizens, working in various sectors but in the same fashion: with a strict set of rules, military organisation and conservative views. It's ruled by the High Council and the Emperor (His Imperial Majesty Hiram III.) himself is possesing the title of Grandmaster.

Recruitment is performed through the education system, which ends by compulsory military service for the 19-20 years old. Those, who decide to continue study and succeed to universities are carefully watched in order to become a part of the system.

The Order's military itself is the state's main police and defence force. Although each duchy has its own militia, the Eagleguard is in control of all WOMDs and 90% of weaponry production. Because of lack of prisons in most of the regions, criminality is prevented by efficient punishment system and extremely harsh treatment of the criminals right where they stand in the moment of being caught. The justice system tends to provide public trials and some kind of punishments, such as hanging or whipping.

Due to the survey from 8th March 2014, 32% of Order's laymen are bakers.
