The Republic of Xagrurg is also known as the RoX, is located on the continent of Aurora. The Republic of Xagrug is a social democracy with a parliament running the affairs of the nation. The capital city of Xagrurg is Imperium, which is where Parliament is housed along with the economic powerhouse of the nation. Xagrurg is part of the South East Pacific Coalition Forces. The ecology of Xagrurg is diverse, resulting in having boreal forests to dense rainforests. There are many national parks funded by the government and the highest point in Xagrurg is Mt. Democracy which is 300 meters above sea level. Becoming a proper nation-state in 200 AD, the Republic of Xagrug is a world leader in education and industrial output. The Republic of Xagrurg has universal healthcare and free college education. The income per capita is around $8,500 with very little difference between the rich and poor thanks to strict government regulations. Private enterprise is allowed albeit regulated and the media is protected by the right to free speech. The Republic of Xagrurg is considered to be around a post-modern state technology wise. The current population of Xagrurg is 115 million people.

History

First Inhabitants In 1 AD, people from all over the world colonized the land that would be now known as Xagrurg. Most of these people were intellectuals, building libraries and houses of knowledge. One such library is the Great Library of Xagrurg which still stands today due an unknown material the original colonists built the library out of. Additionally, many structures built by the inhabitants still stand today, mystifying engineers to this date.

Isolationism By 1800 AD, the people of Xagrurg were relatively peaceful, minding their own business. Occasionally, merchants came by to trade with Xagrugians but the government of Xagrurg haven't established official relations with anyone at this point.

Rise to Power In 1900 AD, the people of Xagrurg were noticing the world was becoming a dangerous place and decided to build up the nation's military and industry. As a result, the industries boomed and tech was rapidly advancing. The space program was additionally growing, landing a man on the moon by 1950.

Present Day At this point of time, the Republic of Xagrurg is an economic and scientific powerhouse, its tech being considered Post-Modern. However, political divides are happening in the nation between the Social Democrats and the Isolationist Conservatives, in Parliament, it is often a yelling match between representatives of both parties.

Geography

Xagrurg has an all-around climate and temperatures ranging from 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year. Rain is common in Xagrurg resulting in ideal conditions for farming. The Republic of Xagrurg is a multi-party republic where representatives of all political parties gather in Parliament to discuss legislation. Currently, the Social Democrat party is in office of the presidency. Political and civil rights are staunchly protected. The main political parties with a majority in Parliament are the Social Democrats, Isolationist Conservatives, and the Globalist Pacifists.

Xagrurg has established an embassy with the nation of Kostoria-Obertonia and is in the Aurora Contiental Assembly.

Military

The Armed Forces of Xagrurg is well funded with a budget of 1 billion Marks. The Army is equipped with the latest tanks the arms industry has to offer with the Lion 3A8 MBT and M2A4 Bob armored carrier. The Air Force is equipped with the F-45 fighter aircraft and A-2 stealth bomber. The navy is equipped with 2 aircraft carriers, 30 missile cruisers, and 20 nuclear submarines. Currently, the army is experimenting with hover tanks but results have been delayed and the program overbloated. There is no active military draft in place but there is a national guard in case the government needs to call up the reserves of the army. The army has 100,000 hundred thousand active peacetime military personal and 1 million reserve personal.
