RETCONNED
The Norograd armed resistance (not to be confused with the Norograd Armed Rebels) commonly known as the NAR, Is a highly extremist and nationalist terrorist organisation, whose members share a combined dream of absolute totalitarian control. The organisation is based on on oil rig off of the south coast of Axdel known as the Yorrylm.
The Yorrylm
The Yorrylm is a large offshore oil rig constructed after the conclusion of the The Auroran Imperial War by Norograd in 1978 to extract the vast oil reserves beneath the Antarctic ocean. Several other oil rigs are in the same area as the Yorrylm, but are currently unmanned due to the NAR presence, and are currently guarded by the Axdel Armed Forces.
History
Formation
The NAR formed in June 1998 following the political re-stabilisation of Axdel in May. Its primary goal was to reclaim and eventually overthrow the new democratic government. Whilst still a fledgling, the organisation was driven out of the land in a small, insignificant war which only lasted five days. During the closing day of the war, the NAR hijacked three offshore oil rigs and a flotilla of various abandoned Norogradian vessels.
