The Northern Alliance or officially known as the People's Alliance of the North were the rebel faction of Tarper led by Tony Castilla during the Second Tarperti Civil War, they fought against the Hinderists as one of the Revolutionaries after the Citrone Convention. Set up in Citrone in Setember 2001, it was organised and supported the New Millennium Party.
Tony Castilla, a Tarpeti statesman who was previously imprisoned for being part of RUAC and who had escaped to Plamyadia, exhorted the Plamyadiens to aid his rebels in the fascist Republic of Tarper, the nation's government listened and set up the Plamyadien Convention to organize an attack on the republic.
On 12 September 2001, six rebel-controlled territories of the National Confederation had declared independence, later in the day the leaders of the six new nations met in the Citrone Convention and created the Northern Alliance. It later annexed Ostplamyadia, Terraum, and Outer Comico in March of 2002. On 10 May 2002, the Alliance had overrun and dominated the core territories of Österfluss and Astra. After the conquest of the two core territories, the National Confederation started to completely fall apart, the war was won on the 21st of June 2002. The Alliance annexed the National Confederation and ruled Tarper until 10 September 2002, when the Federal Chancellery was established, thus ending the civil war and reconstruction period of Tarper.
The Alliance fought Republican troops and served on battlefronts everywhere in Tarper. The Allied Navy operated as an auxiliary force to the Sangheili Navy and to the Comican Navy. Allied units also served in the Sangheili Air Force, Plamyadien Air Force, and Comican Cavalry, before larger commands were established directly under the control of the Alliance.
Before the formation of the Alliance, on 16 April 2001, the Tarperti Army had mutinied from the Republicans and had united with the Tarperti Underground to form a united Tarperti fighting front. By the formation of the Alliance, the forces of this army numbered more than 400,000, and they participated in the various invasions, eventually leading the drive on Terraum. Soon they were fighting in Astra, the Alps, and Österfluss, and by the end of the war, they took part in the Revolutionary advance into Österfluss. The Allied government was also the provisional republic after the Civil War, preparing the ground for the Federal Chancellery in September 2002.

History
During the civil war, the Tarperti underground had garnered a massive following in the territories that were first invaded. After a year of fighting, the National Confederation had lost control of these northern territories, but still had strongholds with high morale. On the 12th of September, Citrone, Meerland, Großberg, Südstrand, Nordstrand, Großer Wald, and Whylsental declared independence from the Confederation.
Citrone Convention
The six became independent on the morning of the 12th. In the evening all leaders of these six new nations met with revolutionary leaders in Citrone, this became known as the Citrone Convention. At this meeting, the revolutionaries set up what would happen when Hinder was defeated. The leaders also chartered the creation of a new nation, the Northern Alliance. The country was recognized by its allies and was given international spotlight the next day. This international recognition was not given to the National Confederation and thus legitimized the goal of the revolutionaries.
Naming
Officially and legally known as the People's Alliance of the North, this name was chosen during the Citrone Convention to reflect the socialist government of the Northern Alliance. The name Northern Alliance is only the short name; the nickname of the country was "the Alliance".

Government
The Government was composed of the Alliance council which had two houses, the Member's chamber, and the People's chamber. Judicial authorities were presided over by the Army. Executive authorities were composed of the Chief, Tony Castilla, and his generals. There was only one party allowed, the socialist New Millennium Party, it ruled the government under the name "Tarperti Underground".
Dissolution
In early September the Alliance council had mandated elections for the future Federal Chancellery. The highest election turnout in Tarperti history occurred with 92% of eligible Tarps voting. The Results came on September 9 with the newly renamed Socialist Unity Party being the majority. On September 10, 2002, the first Chancellor of Tarper, Tony Castilla signed the Articles of Federalization which founded the Federal Chancellery of Tarper and dissolved the Northern Alliance. This was the first peaceful transfer of power in Tarper since the formation of the United Kingdoms of Tarper in 1901.
