The Dalpoan military approached the Prizyetsi Sverd Industries group and set forth requirements for an advanced fourth generation fighter aircraft capable of meeting the needs of the country.

The PA-32 is equiped with the export version of the brand new AEPA-35 (Radar) (Active Electronic Phased Array - mod. 35) radar, the "E" version. The AEPA-35E offers a wide range of frequencies to operate on, making it more resistant to jamming and other electric countermeasures (ECM). The system offers a far detection range, 150km for aerial targets and around 300km for surface targets, and has the capacity to track up to 30 targets simultaneously and target 6 targets. In addition, the radar is able to move +/- 70 degrees in elevation and azimuth. The radar system weighs 325kg.
