Patistan Premier League Season 3 |
The Patistan Premier League (پاکستان پریمیئر لیگ in Urdu), is Patistan's top division of association football. The PPL is ran by the Patistan Football Federation. The league contains 22 clubs from all around the country and maintains a system of promotion and relegation of three clubs a year between it and the Patistan Champions League 2, Patistan's second division of association football.
The season starts in January and ends in September, during the 8 months each team plays 42 matches. Most of the matches are scheduled on either the weekend or a Friday. It is a Premier league tradition that all teams play matches on 16th August, which is Patistan's independence day. The matches are televised by PNN sports and PIS. Several other channels also have the rights to broadcasting PPL matches, PNN Sports and PIS though are the main broadcasters.
The current champions of the league are Haman Rockies whom belong to the eastern city of Haman. The 1st season of the PPL was won by capital based cup Tamabad Strikers. Haman Rockies is also the only Patistani club to ever reach the group stage of any UICA competition, in this instance that being the Globe Cup.

League ball.
The league ball "The Pguranaga". The ball has been manufactured by Meski Balls. Season 3 of the PPL will be the first season to have a sponsored match ball. To be noted that Meski Balls is associated with Meski Kits, Meski kits also produced the kits for the Patistan National Team. The colors on the ball white and green represent the national colors of Patistan and symbolize patriotism. The balls were produced in Mialkot, the west city of Patistan.
