Prince Alexander of Brasland (1873-1934) was the son of Prince Paul Ludwig of Brasland.

In 1903 he married his first cousin, Princess Margarita, daughter of King Frederick IV. They had two children: Alexander Ulrich (born 1904) and Iris (born 1906). Shortly after Iris' birth, Margarita suffered an accident that rendered her unable to have more children.

The family divided their time between their official duties in Markund and a quiet life in Balkenstein Castle, which Alexander inherited from his father.

He died in 1934.
