Princess Sophie of Brasland

Princess Sophie of Brasland (1923-1993), also known as Queen Sophie of New Augustia, was the daughter of King Frederick V and Princess Maria Anna of Brasland.

In 1952 she married King Mark of New Augustia. They had a daughter, Jolanta, born in 1959.

King Mark abdicated in 1955 and assumed the style "Sir Mark Juvaline", refusing a royal title that was offered to him by King Frederick V, while Sophie resumed her Braslander title.

After the abdication the couple embarked on an endless series of trips around the world that only ended in 1972. Sir Mark died in 1974 and Princess Sophie returned to live in Brasland.

She died in 1993.
