English Name: Radical Party Leader: Juan Esteban Franco Established: 1899 Ideology: Social Democracy, Social Liberalism, Radicalism Political Position: Center-left Bloc: Popular Bloc Description The Radical Party is a Social Democratic party in New Rosario. Formerly allied with the Liberal Party, relations between the two parties have soured since the Liberal parties shift to the right and its involvement in the 1956 Coup against Capmany's government. Considered to be the major center left party of Rosario, the party is strongly in favour of moderate land reform, the extension of social programs such as health care, a shift away from America in foreign policy and reformation of the government to bring power back to Parliament. Unlike its coalition allies, the Radical Party is not a Marxist party but a Social Democratic one and the most moderate voice of the left wing parties.
