Map of Laiatan's oblasts and raions.
In the Laiatanese Federation, an administrative or political subdivision of an oblast is a raion (also known as a district), which is a region having specific boundaries and usually some level of governmental authority. Most raions have subdivisions which may include municipalities and unincorporated areas. Others have no further divisions, or may serve as a consolidated city-raion. Some municipalities are in multiple raions. The Volkgoroda Capital Territory (VCT) is also divided into raions.

As of 2017, there are a total of 758 raions in Laiatan. The number of raion per oblast ranges from the 4 raions of the VCT to 128 raions of the Kekur Oblast.

Raions have significant governmental functions across all 15 of the oblasts, and the capital territory.
