Platform Nine and Three Quarters

Platform Nine And Three Quarters is a small region, sparsely populated by only 5 nations.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Platform Nine And Three Quarters eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Political freedoms are extended only to close friends and relatives of the leaders of the region's governments. Most denizens subsist off of basic farming or menial factory jobs, with few economic imports or exports. The median tax rate of the region is 35%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the public sector, with on average only 27% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce within the region is an irrelevant annoyance to governments.

In Platform Nine And Three Quarters, denizens are afforded a reasonable education, although funding is somewhat wanting. Crime is low: the region enjoys well-equipped and well-funded police forces, coupled with efficient but fair judicial systems. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 14% of total government budgets.

In Platform Nine And Three Quarters, government departments are frequently completely unaware of one another, such is size of administration departments. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 4% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare is a large part of government expenditure, with denizens amply provided for. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

Social inequality is a major problem within Platform Nine And Three Quarters, although some effort has been made to correct the problem. Environments within the region are very good, with a healthy balance of denizen's activity and regard for protection of nature.
