The Leftist Assembly

The Leftist Assembly is one of the largest leftist regions in NationStates. The region consists of 127 nations, with 60 of these forming part of the World Assembly. Most notably, the region is 26th for Most World Assembly Endorsements, and 85th for Most Nations.

The region has an official Constitution and Code of Laws by which all nations of the region must abide by.

History

The Leftist Assembly was established on January 14, 2016 as a merger between The Communist Region and The Democratic Socialist Union. On 15 February 2016, The Constitution of The Leftist Assembly was established, and The Code of Laws of The Leftist Assembly on 24 April 2016.

Government

Upon its founding, the region functioned with a multi-party system consisting most notably of The Solidarity Party, Worker's Army Party, Independent Leftist Front, People's Rights Party (became defunct before government system change, and The Socialist Union (never ran in an election). In late August 2016, the members of the region democratically chose to change the government to an independent system. This system will consist of a 9 member council, with specific details on their names, roles, and election process yet to be confirmed. The Constitution of The Leftist Assembly is set to be changed in accordance with this in early September 2016.

Ministries

There are five ministries, in addition to the Prime Minister, Auven, and each has a Minister that runs them, except for the Ministry of Law which has a Chief Justice, First Justice, and Second Justice. The following are the nations that currently fill these positions:
