The Leftist Assembly is one of the largest leftist regions in NationStates, founded on 14 January 2016 to unite all leftists under a common banner. The region is generally government-focused, consisting of the General Assembly, Supreme Court, and appointed Ministers. The regional motto is Unity in diversity and the regional anthem is Do You Hear The People Sing?. The most recent census was held in October 2017.

The Leftist Assembly was established on 14 January 2016 as a merger between The Communist Region and The Democratic Socialist Union due to stagnated growth and the desire for a unified and revitalised leftist region.
The Constitution was ratified on 21 February 2016 and the Code of Laws came into effect on 2 March 2016.
The region's first WA Delegate was technically Celera, but considering their tenure lasted mere hours on 26 January 2016, the first proper Delegate is generally considered to be Locksmithia, who reigned from 26 January to 7 March 2016. The first elected leader of the region, titled the Secretary, was Atealia.
The first Act to pass the General Assembly was the Electoral Reform Act, proposed by Cedoria and passed 8-1 by the 3rd General Assembly.

Government
The regional government consists of the Secretary, Prime Minister, appointed Ministers (executive), General Assembly (legislature), and the Supreme Court (judiciary).
Secretary/Prime Minister
The Secretary and Prime Minister are the leader and deputy leader of the region respectively. The Secretary has the responsibility of leading particularly in legislative and diplomatic action, appointing or replacing any new Ministers at their will to oversee certain areas of regional life, and presenting Justice nominees, which cannot dually be members of the General Assembly. The Prime Minister has the responsibility of assisting the Secretary in their responsibilities and making decisions in their absence.
The current Secretary is South Miruva, and the Prime Minister is Atealia. Their term commenced on 14 December 2017 and will conclude on 14 March 2018.
