NSTracker The Sith United Nations |
The Sith United Nations is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations.
Throughout The Sith United Nations, traditions are kept strictly throughout the region, punishing upstarts and rabble-rousers harshly. Political freedom does not exist. The region is recognized as an extreme dictatorship. The economy of the region is remarkably unremarkable, with members being neither powerhouses nor basket cases. Denizens tend to pay their taxes quickly and quietly, with a median tax rate of 19%. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 26% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 4% of public expenditure.
The Sith United Nations does not prioritize education in any meaningful way. There is a very high level of crime within the region and law enforcement resources are stretched thin. Denizens have very well-funded, well equipped defense forces. Due to the lack of any Public transport, streets are packed with cars, bikes, and assorted noisy vehicles.
Nobody really knows about the state of administration in The Sith United Nations. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 3% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.
Social inequality is a major problem within The Sith United Nations, although some effort has been made to correct the problem. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.
