Reutherhof Palace is one of the official royal residences in Markund.

It was built between 1710 and 1727 for King Frederick I, who preferred the more rustic Marsburg Castle but was persuaded that the royal family needed a more stately and sophisticated residence that contributed to their prestige. Frederick I lived for barely a year at the palace, but it was the home of his successors, Frederick II and Frederick III.

In 1792 Reutherhof was abandoned after the Royal Palace was finished. It was used as a residence for the Crown Prince and junior members of the royal family, as well as housing some departments of the Royal Court. Currently, the palace continues to be used in this manner, being the Markund home of Princess Auguste, Prince Maximilian (and his wife Princess Marie) and Prince Anton (and his wife and three children).
