Setznan Ground Self Defense Force
The Setznan Ground Self Defense Force is the main land force of the Republic of Setzna and is the oldest branch of the SSDF alongside the SMSDF, tracing it's roots back to the Imperial Army of the Setznan Empire. They are usually the second to deploy after the SMDF and SNLF. Some of Setzna's most elite and infamous units are apart of the SGSDF as well. The SGSDF uses the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Type-10 Hitomaru as their Main Battle Tank. The Type 74 G/Kai is also in service with the SGSDF, although in limited numbers. Other vehicles in service with the Ground Defense Forces are the Komatsu LAV, Humvee, Mitsubishi Type 89 IFV, and the Komatsu Type 96.
Setznan Maritime Self Defense Force
The Setznan Maritime Self Defense Force is the main naval force of the Republic of Setzna and is the oldest branch of the SSDF. It's history goes all the way back to the Imperial Navy during the rule of the Setznan Empire. The SMSDF is the first to deploy overseas alongside the SNLF.
The SNLF, otherwise known as the Marine Corps, is a sub branch of the SMSDF and serves as a quick reaction force and front line force. They are the first ones to be deployed overseas and have a quick mobilization time suited for their role. In total, three Marine Expeditionary Forces share the duty of the SNLF alongside sailors and navy corpsman. The corps uses the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Type 74 G/Kai as its battle tank. Other Vehicles used by the SNLF are the Komatsu LAV, Mitsubishi Type 89 IFV, the Schernmetall Defense LAV-IIIA1 and the Amphibious Assault Vehicle.
The SNLF also has their own aviation wings under Naval Aviation. The aviation wings of the SNLF provide support for ground troops from gunships, attack helicopters, and V/STOL aircraft.
The Naval Security Forces are the policing force of the Maritime Defense Force and serve as security for commercial ships and warships during both peacetime and war. The NSF also takes part in rescue operations and humanitarian and disaster relief, working closely with the International Red Cross. The NSF also serve as support for the Marine Corps and will land with Marines when assigned to a particular MEF to act as fighting units, or Military Police.
Currently, the only NSF units assigned to an MEF are;
- 15th Navy Sec. Brigade, II MEF
- 9th Navy Sec. Brigade, II MEF
- 12th Navy Sec. Brigade, III MEF
- 2nd Navy Sec. Brigade, I MEF
The Naval Aviation Enterprise comprises of Marine and Naval Aviation and serves as the air arm of the Setznan Maritime Self Defense Force. It mainly engages in CAS, anti-ship operations, and support of ground troops.
Aircraft mainly used by the NAE are;
Naval Aviation also uses other types of aircraft and rotary aircraft such as the SH-60F Seahawk and the UH-60 Blackhawk for utility, troop transport, and anti-submarine warfare roles.
