The Sibarian-Lukonian War (Sibarian: Sябирян Война за Luкoниа Yнификация, "Sibarian War for Lukonian Unification"), also known as the Sibarian War for Lukonian Unification, is an ongoing war since 1 July 2031, by the The Sibarian Federation, Vasil, Ironcastle and several other nations.
The Lukonian War, an also ongoing war, had been going on for well over a year. The North had gain significant ground and was overpowering the South. The Sibarian Federation, fed up with a war on its direct border, issued an ultimatum for a ceasefire to commence immediately and for talk of unification to begin under Sibarian guidance. The Lukonians agreed to the still present Bananish call to peace and initiated negotiations with the South Moneylanian Union. Noticing imminent issues with this process, the Sibarian Military Command decided to station troops along both borders, in preparation for an invasion.
On the 1 July 2031, a small platoon of South Lukonians were spotted across the Vasilian border, a breach of international law. A small squad of Sibarian VDV troops were sent to turn back the apparently lost troops when they were ambushed by a larger South Lukonian force. When the South Lukonians refused to turn back, the Sibarian Federation declared war South Lukonia, beginning the war.
The Sibarians, once hearing word of war, began shelling the coast to prevent an advance. Even though the Sibarians held out for much longer then anticipated, the initial South Lukonian advance was swift, pushing Sibarian troops from the Vasilian border. Due to this, Sibarian Military Command issued word to a majority of the air bases around the southern Sibarian regions to a mass a massive air assault. On the 6 July, this air assault, now dubbed The Blitsaya, was the largest air operation since the Seven-Day War. Hundreds of Sibarian air squadrons unloaded on the South Lukonian advances, bringing the advance to a halt and damaging thousands of mechanised infantry.
Following the Blitsaya, Sibarian VDV divisions, along with reinforcements from Berkraine, Daminy and multiple Vasilian Guards, pushed back the halted advance, killing or capturing a large majority of the retreating troops.
