The Silver Cup is Valanora's domestic cup competition and longest running sporting competition in the entire nation. Like the records of the older leagues and the Premiership, the results prior to season 20,018 are unknown when the old Valanora Sporting Council's headquarters had a fire. As a result, only the "modern" results are known despite a history reach past the century. The reward for winning the Cup, along with a large monetary purse, is a Globe Cup berth unless the winning team is already qualified for an international competition, as well as a spot in the Cygnus Cup aka the Cup Winners Cup. The tournament's semifinal and final stages are played at neutral venues where the rest of the rounds are hosted by the home team in the draw.
