An Introduction to the Nation of Arcadonisia

The Unified Socialist Kingdom of Arcadonisia, known to most in the outside world simply as Arcadonisia, is a large and prosperous nation compared to it's smaller and similar sized neighbors. While a vast majority of the surrounding nations are human controlled, Arcadonisia is controlled and ruled by the humanoid species of Ice Warriors, followed by the other native species of Shadow Rangers, Gargantuan Grey Steel Wolves and the Imperial Fleet.

The Eleven Districts

The Eternal Kingdom of Arcadonisia is divided into eleven quadrants, known as "Districts" along with two territories to the northwest and the south. The size and shape of each district is determined by local geography and local population levels. Each district has their own name and is allowed a semi-independent status to govern appropriately, although none of the districts have the power to make major decisions that effect the well-being of their citizens without the King's authorization. The names of each district is as follows: District One, which contains Arcadonisia's largest city of Achron, is the Arclaean, District Two, which contains the city of Lakeview, is known as the Bosnian, District Three is the Centurion, District Four is the Latavian, District Five is the Mardecian, District Six is the Tumurean and District Seven, which holds the Capital is the Ospiean, District 8 is the Lumarian, District 9 is the Barrian, District 10 is the Jovian and District 11 is the Pucian.

In addition to the seven previous districts, The Arcadonisian Government has recently added four new districts to the nation, these districts were the former territories of Luminor and Alorium, which border the Hyperion sea to the north and the Aeleonic and Loheim Oceans to the west and east and were added in March of 2014.

History

37 C.E.- 1081 C.E

In the year 1081 C.E. the new nation of Arcadonisia was born from the ashes of an all-powerful military state. In the year 986 C.E. the economic, political and military influence of the surrounding regions was beginning to wane. Due to this fact, the government declared martial law in order to contain order. Slowly, the rights of it's citizens were being taken away, poverty levels never seen before was gripping the nation in a death lock of epic porportions.

Under the head of the highest officials, laws were put into place to contain all rebellion regimes within the capital which resulted in mass murders and public mutilation of thousands of innocent civilians. With a stunning turn of events, in 1070 C.E. the rebellion launched the first waves of attacks, starting with the assassination of the president of the Royal Security Counsel and escalated to the bombing of all government buildings. In 1075 the government fought back, and strayed past the point which sealed it's fate, the following attack led to the poison attack that contaminated the entire water supply of the capitol and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children.

Within five years the nation fell to it's ultimate ruin and on December 30th 1081, Arcadonisia was born on the ideals of Freedom for all men regardless of race or sexual orientation, Human rights, and equality and prosperity for all peoples united under it's banner of peace. To this day, Arcadonisia's capitol rests on the very site of the former castle which housed the Royal family and was the final resting place for thousands of men who fought and died for the future of their families.

1081 C.E.- 1504 C.E.

After the successful revolution, the Leader of the Arcadonisians, Locatai Mathama, was crowned King of Arcadonisia in the home of the Ice Warriors, Sol Vera. During his 300 year reign, Locatai brought peace and prosperity between the five species and brought in the first Golden Era for the Kingdom. This era lasted until 1381 C.E. where Locatai was assassinated by a human who tried to seize power from the Ice Warriors. From then, the Kingdom fell into disarray until the last heir of the Throne mysteriously vanished in 1504 C.E. Most scholars believed that this heir was murdered in an incident of foul play but opposing political members, but the most agreed upon solution is that the heir was banished from the throne by the King's corrupted Royal Council, which then secretly removed the unknown king from power by death.

After the King's death and his heir's disappearance, the Royal Council took it upon themselves to reign over the Kingdom as they moved the Capital from Sol Vera to Achron and claimed that they would rule until the heir could be found and restored.

1504 C.E.- 1960 C.E.

The time period from 1504 to 1960 is known to most Arcadonisians as the Black Reign, a period of time where the Royal Council which was controlled by Humans ran rampant, destroying much of what remained of the symbolism and glory of the Throne. Citizens who were openly loyal to the return of the King were often arrested for disruption of the peace, and in most cases ended in public execution as a warning to anyone who dared to defy the Council's power. In the Ancient ruins of the North, the shattered remains of a once glorious and powerful kingdom were all but destroyed.

In the Ice City of Sol Vera, the Grand Temple which housed the *Natural Order witnessed the destruction that the corrupted humans committed to their homeland. Their heritage and marvelous architectural achievements were destroyed with the raids of the Council, and were almost successful of pillaging the vast supply of *Arcanium that resided deep underground. As time passed, the Ice Cities of the North regained much of their former glory and beauty, and the chains that bound them to the service and rule of the Council was broken. From this point, the Northern Ice Cities served as a beacon of rebellion and hope in an attempt to restore the Throne.

1960 C.E.- Present Day

With the North serving as the headquarters of the Rebellion, the Council tightened its control over the southern and central regions of the nation, resulting in the slavery of the species of the Imperial Fleet, Shadow Rangers and the Gargantuan Grey Steel Wolves. Several attempts to reclaim the Throne were launched, none of them were successful. It was proven that even the strongest of the Native Species could not defeat the traitors alone, so the attempts stopped for a time, to allow for the seeds of rebellion to spread and grow in strength for one last attempt.

In the Winter of 1960, a young Ice Warrior male was left as an orphan on the steps of the Grand Temple. This Ice Warrior was named Alistar Gregorio IV after his father who perished during the last of the attempts to reclaim the Throne. The Elders of the Order knew that young Alistar was one of the last remaining heirs that had a pure ancestry with King Locatai, who was considered to be the most beloved and honored King. Throughout the years, he was trained in ancient combat, was taught the knowledge of his people and of his heritage and of his birthright to one day reclaim the Throne.

Twenty years have passed since rumors passed through the land, telling that the Locatai's Heir has been found at last. The Council rejected all rumors and threatened imprisonment should rumors start again. Outside of Achron, the Natives were becoming restless, tired of their forced slavery to the corrupt humans that stole their freedom. When word of the final act of rebellion reached them, they joined the Ice Warriors. When Alistar rode south on his campaign, he visited all of the Native clans, gathering thousands as he promised to rid them of their chains. The Wolf Lord Uzrayne was the first of the Natives outside of the Ice Warriors to join the Rebellion and ignited the War for the Throne. This act between all four Native species enacted the Arc Alliance, a powerful council that sought to seek peace, balance and the protection of their lands from outsiders.

As they neared Achron, the Council's Army was waiting for them. With a charge, Alistar's forces drove back the Council's forces, and sacrificed many lives to win back their freedom. When the battle was won, Alistar's forces stormed through the Walls and rode to the Coucil's headquarters, where Alistar confronted the head councilman and declared his birthright to the Throne. As the councilman refused his declaration, Alistat cut off the man's head, officially ending the Black Reign. In the fall of 1980, Alistar Gregorio, a full blooded member of the Ice Warrior clan of the Northern Mountains and the direct descendant of the first King, Locatai Mathama reclaims his birthright and ascends to the Throne. The coronation ceremony was held on November 10th, 1980 and was completely funded through the donations of the citizens and the liquidation of all the assets held under the oppressive regime. With Alistar on the Throne, the Line of Kings was restored and the future of Arcadonisia was renewed with promise and new opportunities.

History of Human Habitations of Arcadonisia

Human Beings have only resided in this nation for a mere millennium compared to the other three humanoid species (with the exception of the Wolves). The other four species have resided here for multiple millennia and have warmly welcomed the Human race into their borders. As a side note, Human Beings and the three Humanoid species (refer to other posts on the names of the three humanoid species) are not related in any form although they share some humanistic qualities, mannerisms and characteristics.

The first Humans to arrive in the former nation that is now Arcadonisia was around 2045 B.C.E. and were hostile towards the natives in order to establish settlements near the coastlines of District 1. Due to their unhospitable manners imperialsitic, untolerant and destructive qualities, they were soon disbanded and were either killed off by the natives or forced off the continent to return to their ravaged homelands.

After the unsuccessful attempt to colonize the Arcadonisian continent, a new wave of peaceful, tolerant and otherwise resourceful Humans made landfall in District 2. These new settlers quickly made peace with the natives and repaired any hostile relations that were made during the previous encounters. Over the next few decades after the initial landing,both parties agreed to co-exist with each other peacefully.

During the successful Arcadonisian Revolution of 1070-1081 C.E., The Humans fought alongside the Ice Warrior King, Locatai Mathama and the Wolf Lords, Uzrayne and his son Azrayne and quickly gained their trust, thus sealing the deal on the moderate relationship of peace and tolerance.

All five species now co-exist peacefully, and the Human Race has earned the right to call Arcadonisia home.

Arcanium: An National Treasure

The science behind the modern uses of Arcanium are all but unknown as modern science has only begun to delve into the deep history and applications of this rare but powerful mineral. At first, the Ancients discovered Arcanium in its primal form about 180,000 years ago following the construction of the great Ice Cities, including the capital of Sol Vera. The Ancients, wise and powerful Naturals of magical skill, understood the immense power associated with Arcanium and used it in the construction of magical structures, including the Siphon, a magical device used for Capital Punishment for any Natural who goes against the Order.

After humans settled the continent with the blessings of the Natives, they too learned the uses of Arcanium and witnessed the raw power of its application during the infamous Natural Wars, which rocked the Human and Natural civilization to their cores. As centuries passed, outside knowledge of Arcanium was kept at a minimum to prevent outsiders from invading to reap the untapped sources of the mineral, and its use was restricted to Native use only for many years until its electronic generation abilities were discovered in 2009 by students in the University of Sol Vera.


National Geography

As a nation, Arcadonisia is host to a wide range of ecological wonders and habitats. Every district plays host to unique environments, making the Kingdom one of the largest vacation spots in the world to date. Under the laws of the King, the geography and national wonders that make our home unique is protected under Government Law, preserving these lands for all generations to enjoy.

National Feature: The Senaal Mountains of the North

Apart from the other sections of the country, Northern Arcadonisia is home to the ancient and powerful species of Ice Warriors, which currently rule the Kingdom. The northern sections of the country are locked in a cold and bitter climate, with snow and Ice covering much of the landscape year round due in part to the Elemental Magic of the Ice Warriors which thrive in Cold and Dry Climates. Temperatures in this region are stable, with spring and summer temperatures around 0-10 degrees Fahrenheit with fall and winter temperatures ranging from -50 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit.

In the extreme north lies the Senaal Mountains which act as a natural border between our nation and the Northern Aelonic Ocean. The Arcadonisian Capital of Sol Vera rests at the base of these mountains, and is not only the home of the High Elder's Grand Temple, but also stores several hundred billion tons of Arcanium which is primarily used as the nation's top domestic energy supply.

National Feature: The Uzrak Forests of the East

To the southeast of the Senaal Mountains lies the ancient Uzrak Forests, which cover several hundred miles of land and spans over three and a half districts. These forests have been in existence for over 150,000 years, and remains mostly intact despite a national population of 500,000,000. To foreigners, camping or extended stays inside the forests is forbidden as they are the home of the nation's National Animal, the Gargantuan Grey Steel Wolves. These beings are abnormally large in height, spanning over 7 feet tall. Gifted with telepathic abilities, they are enabled with a "Hive Mind" to communicate with each other. While not violent, these creatures do not take kindly to strangers venturing into their hunting grounds.

These lands are also under the protection of the Arcadonisian Government, and particularly bans any form of timber or fur industries from harvesting the resources from the area. The forests are also abundant with lakes and rivers, which are pollution free and isolated from any civilization. Tourists regularly visit the borderlands of the Forest, and come to enjoy the fresh air, scenic views and abundant marijuana that grows in the valleys outside the forests.

National Feature: The Barren Plains of the West

Although not as enticing as its counterparts, the Barren Plains, also known as the Borderlands, is the nation's breadbasket and main supplier of Wheat, Corn, Beef and Dairy. While most Natives dine and rely on a vegetarian or vegan diet, the Human population is particularly fond of meat. Although Humans populate less than one forth of the nation, they are a vast minority in all of the nation except for the extreme southeast and some of the coastal areas in the West. The main inhabitants of the Borderlands are the Shadow Ranger Species, an offshoot of their Ice Warrior Brethren. This group is partly responsible for the infamous Natural Wars that took place over 100,000 years ago.

The Order of the Naturals

The word "Natural" is an broad term that covers any being that can control or manipulate the forces of Nature or any aspect of their chosen force at will. In Arcadonisian history, the first Naturals were the great Elders of the Ice Warrior Species, which made their eternal home inside the northernmost portions of the continent, and forged the cradle from which the Ice Warrior civilization was born.

Origins of the Natural Order

The Elders then passed on their "Light Magic" *Light Magic refers to the Elder's Natural power to control and manipulate Ice, snow and Air. In morality terms, Light Magic is associated with Goodwill, Purity and Order.* through the bloodlines of the species, enabling all Ice Warriors to possess varying amounts of the Natural spirit. Not all Ice Warriors possess the same amount of magic, as some families are more in tuned with their powers than others, making them more powerful and more influential in society.

When the Ice Warriors and the Shadow Rangers split many millenia ago, a small portion of the Natural spirit followed them, evolving them to become more in tune with Fire, also known as "Dark or Grey Magic" *Dark Magic refers to the Shadow Ranger's Natural Power to control and manipulate Fire and Earth. In morality terms, Red Magic is associated with Rage, Destruction, Rebirth and Chaos. Grey Magic resembles members who remain neutral to both sides.*As the years passed, hostilities between the two clans climaxed, and resulted into to cataclysm known as the Natural Wars. The end result of the Wars greatly diminished the amount of Naturals in existence, and forced the remaining Naturals to return to their homelands to repopulate in hopes of rebuilding their devastated communities.

The Classes of the Natural Order

The World of the Naturals is complicated to the eyes of Mortals, as the mention of Magic destabilizes the logical processes needed to comprehend the Natural Order. Therefore, Naturals are broken down into three classes, as mentioned below. Each class becomes more powerful and unstable than the last, meaning that the more powerful a class, the more vulnerabilities there are and the more unstable it becomes.

Class I: Class I Naturals possess the basic forms of the Natural Order, including light to moderate manipulation of natural forces and can complete small to medium tasks. Members of this class have microscopic amounts of the Natural Spirit, which gives them their power. Naturals of this class are the most stable and have very little vulnerabilities. *Mostly associated with members who possess Grey Magic*

Class II: Class II Naturals possess intermediate forms of the Natural Order, allowing them the hone their magic to allow them to manipulate their given natural force with small amounts of struggle at times. Stability among this class is fairly stable. The balance between chaos and order begins to influence the stability level of members of this class at a moderate level. Vulnerabilities to opposite forces begin to neutralize any advantages that they may have.

Class III: Class III Naturals possess advanced forms of the Natural Order, giving them full mastery of their chosen natural force opening their manipulative and controlling capabilities to heightened levels. Stability among this class is highly unstable, as members who have yet to fully master their gifts are prone to violent and destructive fits as the untamed magic pulls them into any direction it chooses. Vulnerabilities to opposing forces can be overwhelming, destroying any advantages that they can possess.


Government Structure and Officials

The government of Arcadonisia has always been ruled under an Absolute Monarchy. Although the King is gifted with limitless power, it does not grant him or her immunity from the criticism of the general public. Therefore, the following is a list and description of the different tiers of Government that has been installed by King Alistar Gregorio IV in order to obtain a balance of power.

Government Structure

Top Tier of Government

The King: The King of Arcadonisia has full power over all decisions made by national, regional and local lawmakers. No law can be approved without his consent. The King is bound by oath during the crowning ceremony to follow and adhere to all laws, to protect the nation from foreign and domestic threats and to rule honestly and justly to ensure that the will of the people is being heard. The King also has full control over all National Defense entities and can nominate a Minister of Defense.

Representative to the Throne: The Rep to the Throne is handpicked by the King and is the voice of the King when He is unavailable for public and or private showings. The Rep can also be sent to foreign nations as a diplomat to search for allies and voice the Nation's interests.

The Royal Council: The Royal Council is the Nation's main lawmaking body. Each District sends two to four councilmen and women to represent their district's needs. The Counsel resides in Sol Vera, in the southern district of the city opposite of the Royal Palace, which resides in the northern district of the city. All laws that are passed in the Council are then passed to the King's Office, where the laws will then be reviewed and will either become national law, or rejected and sent back to be revised or discarded.


Middle Tier of Government

Minister of Defense: The Minister of Defense is handpicked by the King to serve the national and international interests of the Kingdom. The Minister has full power to alert all military forces and takes all orders from the King himself. The Minister is responsible for maintaining all military branches and operations.

Minister of Internal Affairs: The Minister of Internal Affairs is in charge of relaying all important national happenings to the King. He/She is also responsible for selecting officers and public owned special interest groups in maintaining the social order to protect the civil rights of all citizens within the Kingdom's jurisdiction.

Minister of Foreign Affairs: The Minister of Foreign Affairs is responsible for representing the Kingdom in the international community. He/She is responsible for relaying vital information to intended members of government and cooperating with members of foreign governments.


Bottom Tier of Government

Representatives of the Five Species: The Representatives are each nominated by the votes of the members of their own species to serve in the Government. Each species selects one person that will best represent the concerns and interests of their own kind. All Representatives reside within the Capital and aid the King and Lawmakers in enacting laws and regulations that benefit all parties involve

Military Information

The Arcadonisian military is one of the most powerful and highly skilled fighters on the Arcadonisian continent. Throughout its existence, it has managed to keep Arcadonisia free and secure for well over 931 years and exists to serve the interests of the King. With the innovations of 21st century science and the wonders of Elemental Magic, Arcadonisia is a force to be reckoned with.

General List and Descriptions of the Three Races of Arukkai in Arcadonisia

Our Kingdom was formed almost 1,000 years ago by Locatai Mathama, King of the Ice Warriors and of Arcadonisia. Throughout the years, the Lands under the King's rule have become diverse in their population of Five sentient and intelligent species, although four of the five are natives to the land.

General List Of Descriptions and Information On the Three Arukkai Races

I. The first species on the list is the ruling class of Ice Warriors. Ice Warriors are the oldest and most culturally advanced recorded species on the continent and evolved into their current form 190,000 years ago, long before human habitations. Ice Warriors have many human characteristics, including human-like facial structures, limbs and organ systems. Uneducated persons usually mistake members of this species of a different class of humanity, but they are sorely mistaken.

Ice Warriors are exceptionally tall in stature, reaching up to 8-10 feet in height. Ice Warriors have thick and pasty white skin as an adaptation to their Icy, cold and dry environment, and are wise and very intelligent. Ice Warriors usually craft their cities out of Ice, but can also use stone or anything resource available. Many Ice Warriors have Ice Blue eyes, and can live to be over 300 years old on average.

(As a note, Ice Warriors possess a certain amount of supernatural and "magical" qualities. Many have telepathic and healing gifts, and can influence their natural environments through the process called "White Magic". In general, Members of this ancient and magical species were given the name Ice Warrior for their ability to bend and manipulate the environment to suit their will, which is why most of the northern districts remain unseasonably cold and frigid year round.)

II. The third species are known as the Shadow Rangers. This species is a distinct offshoot from the Ice Warriors. The split between the two groups occurred 50,000 years ago. The Shadow Rangers are a semi-nomadic tribe that resides in the Western Plains, and are famous for their stealth and hit and run tactics when scrounging for food, supplies and weaponry. Shadow Rangers are 6-8 feet in height and have thin and bony skeletal structures. Their skin is dark and tanned from years of sun exposure.

Shadow Rangers are rarely seen by outsiders, and their dark faces are obscured by black cloaks usually worn during their travels. No outsider has ever seen a Shadow Ranger's face without it concealed by their cloaks. It is deemed unwise to cross the path of a Shadow Ranger during their travels, as many have taken hostage due to their hostile attitudes to people outside their kind. Average lifespan is around 210-300 years.

III. The final species to be noted is the Imperial Fleet. The Fleet evolved on the southern shores of the continent around 100,000 years ago and are one of the most technological species found on the continent. Fleet members are short in stature, around 3-4 feet on average and are skilled in forging metals and advanced weaponry for their warships. Many Fleet members are friendly towards foreigners, as they rely on trade with others to craft their ships. Many Fleet members formed coastal cities on the southern islands and reside there year-round. The expected life span of this species is around 130-240 years on average.

Arcadonisian Culture

Arcadonisian culture has widely been known as taboo or unusual in many of the neighboring nations, most notably the human-controlled republics and empires that can be found easily across the world. It has been noted that the use of elemental magic in any form has been denounced as "witchcraft" and deemed as unworthy for sufficient acknowledgement. While most foreigners from the surrounding nations visit on occasion, many who venture here find our culture to be colorful and unique.

On Homosexuality and the LGBTQ Subculture

The topic of Homosexuality in Arcadonisia has always been accepted as a thoughtful and insightful glimpse on the many faucets of sexuality. While most nations abhor the acceptance of this naturally occurring phenomenon, the people of Arcadonisia, most notably the four Native species, overwhelmingly accept and embrace the homosexual identity. In Native cultures, it has been found that Homosexuality is seen as a rare path that only the worthy can embrace. With sexuality in general, most Natives do not consider themselves to be strictly Male or Female, but consider themselves to be gender-fluid or genderqueer. There can be festivals year-round that celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of all sexualities in all eleven districts, and usually generates large sums of visitors form around the world to experience these events.

The most notable form of entertainment that has taken the Kingdom by storm is the art of Female Impersonation, otherwise known as Drag. These amazing men and women devote their whole lives to spreading their message of hope and equality in the form of dance. The Drag Queens can be seen in every district in Arcadonisia, making many men, women and children smile, re-enforcing the ideals that inner beauty is what is most important, that marriage isn't just between man and woman, but between two people who want to dedicate their lives to each other for life. This new and exciting phenomenon is one of the most enlightening that has been seen in our glorious society.

Ice Warrior Social Rites

Although the rites of passage described below were originally performed by the Ice Warriors for millennia, these rites have recently been adopted by the remaining 4 species, including Humans. The Ice Warriors, along with all the other Natives consider gender as a fluid concept. They do not believe in Male or Female. Instead, men and women are free to choose their own sexuality and gender. Homosexuality is a highly honored path that few are meant for.

Males and Females are considered as equals. There are men who perform feminine duties, and there are women who prefer to do masculine duties. At the coming of Age (around the time a child reaches puberty) they undergo a transformation, dedicating themselves to the service of the Arc Alliance, made by the King and the leader of the Wolves, in centuries past by protecting and honoring the Wolves. Each child is assigned a guardian Wolf, depending on their personality and path that they must soon choose. The wolf that is assigned to them will become their life companion, meaning that once brought together, no one can separate.
