It's largest city is Fort Yakes with a population of almost a million. Because a large portion of Horales is uninhabitable due to its high altitude, most of its population live on the coast. This drawback has led to a food shortage for just over a decade, with everyone on rations. Some years however, the yield in mainland [[Staynes]] and nearby countries has been so great that there was sufficient food imports. As of 2017, there has been an expansion expedition into the former Veymar colony in an attempt to tackle the ever worsening food shortages.
