The Leftist Assembly election, September 2016 was the second election in The Leftist Assembly and voting was held from 28 September to 1 October. The General Assembly, the unicameral legislature of The Leftist Assembly, consists of 9 members, 7 elected and 2 appointed by the Secretary of the Assembly. In this election, only the Minister of Law election was held as a result of the Secretary, Minister of Archives, Minister of Immigration and Customs, and Prime Minister elections only having one candidate, with each becoming the incoming minister of their respective position. The election used a single transferable voting system.

The ministers elected to the General Assembly were Cedoria as Secretary of the Assembly, Auven as Prime Minister, Halfblakistan as Minister of Archives, Daemynos as Minister of Immigration and Customs, ? as Chief Justice, ? as First Justice, and ? as Second Justice. The ministers appointed by the Secretary to the General Assembly were ? as Minister of Defence, and ? as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

A confidence vote was held for the Prime Minister position, but was abandoned for the other three one-candidate positions due to a clearly expected outcome of a yes vote. Auven was declared the official Prime Minister with a successful confidence vote of 12-2.

Methodology

Voting

To be eligible to vote, a nation must be part of the World Assembly and reside in The Leftist Assembly. The voter numbers each of the candidates in order of their preference on a Google Forms document created by British Accia.

Counting

The election moderators were British Accia, Atealia, and New Prague Workers Republic. Votes were counted and distributed using the single transferable voting system. In this system, concerning the Minister of Law, the candidate with the least number of primary votes was eliminated, and their votes were distributed to their voters' second preferences. The same process is used for Round 2, where the second candidate eliminated is awarded Second Justice. In Round 3, with only two candidates left, the candidate with the most votes is awarded Chief Justice, and the runner-up is awarded First Justice.

Results

Minister of Law

The Minister of Law is elected as a tier-based position, with the candidate finishing first being elected as Chief Justice, second place as First Justice, and third place as Second Justice. The debate for this position was held from 21 October to 24 October, featuring topics on discrimination, Prime Minister position reform, and right-wing nation restrictions. The candidates for this position were Celera, Llorens, Losinia, and New Lonopolian Empire. Losinia gained the official endorsement of Atealia and New Prague Workers Republic. ? won the election, with the results distributed as follows using the single transferable voting system:
