The Leftist Assembly election, September 2019 was the fourteenth election in The Leftist Assembly and voting was held from 11 to 14 September 2019. The position of Secretary and seven seats in the General Assembly were available for election.

Methodology

Voting

To be eligible to vote, a nation must either be a World Assembly or Military Voting citizen, meaning a resident in the region that is either a member of the World Assembly or registered as actively participating in a leftist or anti-fascist military.

For the Secretary election, voters rank the candidates in order of preference. For the General Assembly election, voters select a number of their preferred candidates equal to or less than seven.

Counting

The election moderators were TBD, TBD, and TBD.

For the Secretary election, the single transferable voting system is used, where the primary votes of all candidates are tallied, and the candidate with the least votes is eliminated and their votes preferentially distributed until one candidate achieves a majority. If there is only one candidate, they face a confidence vote instead.

For the General Assembly election, the plurality-at-large voting system is used, where the seven candidates that have received the most votes are elected. If there are seven or fewer candidates, they each face a confidence vote instead.

Endorsements

Candidate endorsements are only recorded for nations who are a former leader or are of historical significance to the region.
