The Corperate Space Warmachine of Egrollia is a huge, economically powerful nation, ruled by Thomas Mann with an iron fist, and notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 937 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Commerce are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Riceland. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 44%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Tourism.

Scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway, families consisting of more than three people are forced to split up, Egrolls are becoming popular in pet stores nationwide, and university graduates and new home-owners toil in labour camps to work off their debts. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Egrollia's national animal is the Egroll, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Eggroll.
