The World Bowl is an international American football championship. The contest grew out of the Gridiron World Championships held in Vephrall; when the World Bowl began the GWC was retroactively named World Bowl 0.

  • Newmanistan has hosted the most World Bowls, with three. Qazox, Dancougar, Delaclava, and Michael VII are the only other teams, so far, to have hosted multiple World Bowls, with two hostings each.
  • Qazox was the only nation to have competed in every edition of the World Bowl, including World Bowl 0. This streak ended with World Bowl XXIII.
  • World Bowl XXII is the only World Bowl thus far to have been jointly hosted by two nations. World Bowl XXII was hosted by Free Republics and Saintland.
  • Dancougar was the first nation to have won multiple World Bowls, with three. Sarzonia at World Bowl XIV became the 2nd team to win multiple titles with Delaclava becoming the 3rd at World Bowl XV. Allamunnic States became the 4th team to win multiple titles at World Bowl XVII. Qazox became the 5th team to win multiple titles at World Bowl XXI. Cassadaigua became the 6th team to win multiple titles at World Bowl XXII.
    • Allamunnic States (4-1) have the most World Bowl championship appearances with 5. Dancougar (3-1), Sarzonia (2-2), Qazox (2-2), and Bluth Corporation (1-3) are tied for the second-most World Bowl championship appearances with 4 each.
    • Only two nations have won more than two World Bowls: Dancougar, with three (World Bowls I, IV, and VI), and Allamunnic States, with four (World Bowls XVI, XVII, XIX, and XXIII).
  • Taeshan, Qazox, Arroza, Newmanistan, Fuijisiwan Territories, and Bluth Corporation are the only other teams to have reached multiple World Bowl Finals, with all but Newmanistan winning a title.
  • Sarzonia, Fujisiwan Territories, Dancougar, Bluth Corporation and Allamunnic States are the only teams to have reached back-to-back championship games.
    • Bluth Corporation is the only team to have lost in back-to-back World Bowl Finals.

  • The World Bowl XI championship game between Delaclava and Sarzonia marked the first match-up of undefeated teams in World Bowl history. Sarzonia's victory made the Stars the first team to win every game en route to a World Bowl title.
    • At World Bowl XV, Sarzonia and Delaclava met in the 2nd match-up of undefeated teams in a World Bowl title. Delaclava's win made them the 2nd team to win every game at a World Bowl.
  • Twelve of the fifteen World Bowl championship games have been decided by a touchdown or less.
    • World Bowls III and XIV were each decided by 1 point, the closest games in World Bowl Final history.
    • The largest margin of victory was Taeshan's 22 point win over Yafor II at World Bowl 0.
  • F1-Insanity was the first nation to win both a Baptism of Iron and World Bowl title. (BoI IV and WB XII). Delaclava (BoI II and WB XIII) has also matched this feat.
  • Bluth Corporation and Delaclava were the first two teams to play in a World Bowl final hosted in their own respective countries. Both lost.
    • Sarzonia, at WorldBowl XIV, became the first team to host and win a World Bowl. Delaclava, at World Bowl XV, became the 2nd. Civil Citizenry, at World Bowl XVIII became the 3rd host nation to win a World Bowl.
  • The Bluth Corporation-Sarzonia matchup at World Bowl XIV marked the 2nd rematch in World Bowl history. It also marked the first ever meeting between two teams that both previously had won a World Bowl title.
    • Delaclava-Sarzonia at World Bowl XV was the third such rematch and the 2nd ever championship meeting between former champions.
  • Michael VII at World Bowl XVII and Baptism of Iron 11 will become the first team to host both events in the same World Bowl Cycle.
    • Eight Nations have hosted both a World Bowl and Baptism of Iron (Arroza, Delaclava, Michael VII, Newmanistan, Qazox, Sarzonia, Secristan, and The Babbage Islands). Only Newmanistan and Qazox have hosted both events more than once.
