World Bowl XIV was the 14th installment of the World Bowl championship for football. The final was a rematch of World Bowl X, between Bluth Corporation and Sarzonia. Their meeting is the second World Bowl rematch, with the other being Dancougar-Newmanistan at World Bowl VI. By defeating Bluth Corporation, Sarzonia became the second team ever to win multiple World Bowls, behind Dancougar's three titles. In addition, Sarzonia also became the first host nation to capture a World Bowl. Sarzonia became the first country to defeat its rematch opponent after losing the previous meeting because Dancougar defeated Newmanistan in both previous World Bowl finals meetings.

Group Stage

The World Bowl-record 72 participants in World Bowl XIV were divided into 12 groups of six teams each. The top two teams from each group advanced to the playoffs, where the 24 advancing teams were seeded based upon record. The eight group winners with the best records received a bye into the Round of 16, while the other four group winners and the 12 runners-up played in a wild card round, with the eight winners of those match ups advancing into the Round of 16.
