World Cup 84 is an international football tournament that will be held in Baker Park and Casaadaigua. Qualification has begun, with 165 teams (excludinf 2 hosts) competing for slots in the finals.

Controversy over the cup happened after the qualification group draw was met with lots of delays and errors. After a delay to a planned live broadcast to a draw, it was later found that some nations had their KPB points wrong and were seeded in the wrong pot, causing a redraw of the qualification groups. Some had later nicknamed the cup as the "Cursed Cup", owing to the awkward schedule of the cup and the problems that came up along the way.

There were two bids that came up with regards to the hosting of the World Cup. Both teams are similar in suggesting that play-offs should be something that should be done away with, with qualification being made up of 15 groups, qualifying the top 2 teams in each group to the Finals.

Teams

Thirty teams will qualify for the World Cup from the 165 teams entering the qualifying phase. The two co-hosts qualified automatically. KPB ranks at the beginning of the qualification round are shown in brackets.
