The World Hit Festival 28 was the 38th edition of the World Hit Festival, being held in the capital city of Britonisea, Doportedas after Dean Boyst won the World Hit Festival for the nation with the song "I'm Hurting Too" with 28 points. The host broadcaster, Brityunik Vefecosoin Cairkovoin had recently hosted the 35th World Hit Festival, but said that hosting the 38th edition was essential, especially after winning the 37th edition.

A total of 11 nations took part in the competition. 11 nations participating meant a decrease of a single nation from the previous edition.

The winner of the 38th World Hit Festival was Darkmania, who won the competition for the first time. Darkmania won the competition with 25 points, with the song, "Tou ë Yr!" by the artist Cärtenne Sërnänä. Britonisea, the host nation, came 2nd place, which was the best placing the nation has had on home soil ever, coming 5th and 9th during their last hostings. Rounding up the top three was Izmedu, who won the edition Darkmania went on to host.

Location

Doportedas is the largest city in Britonisea in terms of population, being home to around 8 million people. Doportedas is split in to different zones which we will speak about later on in the Host Information. For this competition, though, we will be in Zone 4, which is home to the towns Tottenham, Mayfair and Seafront but more importantly, where the contest is, the Doportedas Olympic Park. The Doportedas Olympic Park is a complex with Olympic-ready facilities including the Aquatics Arena, the Lukas Brito Arena (which is used for football and rugby) and of course the Olympic Stadium, which is the main attraction - holding a magnificent 75,000 making it one of the largest stadiums in Britonisea. Doportedas' Olympic Stadium will be split in to different sections. The first half of stage will have the show, and in the end will hold a capacity of 40,000 people. The second half will be split in half again, with one side being the backstage area and the other side being the press and accreditation area, so those who accreditation can get a good sense of the ambiance within the arena.

Recently, the Doportedas Olympic Stadium has been in renovation after the horrible events that happened during the 73rd World Cup, when Britonish and Dreamplanet fans clashed causing mass devastation. It lead to a temporary ban on any major events being held in Doportedas, but World Hit will mark the first time an international event will be held in the city since that disaster. During the World Hit Festival, there will be a one minute silence remembering those who lost their lives in that disaster. However, we want to keep the energy high, owing to our slogan, "BE BOLD. BE BRIGHT".

The Contest

The hosts are two that World Hit Festival fans might not be familiar with, and that is because BVC tried to get hosts who aren't involved in the WHF-sphere to introduce fans to more of the Britonish music and arts industry. In World Hit Festival 27, we had two females presenting, while in World Hit Festival 35 we had a solo male - it was time to have two males hosting. Both these men can sing and dance, and will be hoping to impress you on the night of the World Hit Festival 38 Grand Final.

The Hosts

LUAN ABREU - As mentioned above, Luan is a singer-songwriter from Britonisea's Doportedas. Luan rose to fame when his song, "Ma Grande Paradis (My Great Paradise)" reached number one in the Britonish charts after it was performed by someone on the X Factor RU. Ever since, Luan has been rising through the music industry, writing songs which have broken in to the top 10 of the Britonish music charts. Luan is also an advocate for freedom of expression, and equality between genders and has been working with many charities, aiding nations where certain groups of people are oppressed.
AHARON REUVEN - Aharon is a Briton also from Doportedas, and is the more mature of the two hosts. Aharon is a television host, hosting the live galas of Fame Academy in Britonisea, but also hosting Morning shows on BVC. Aharon also is a show producer, and so has the behind-the-camera knowledge as well as being in front of it too. Aharon can also sing and dance like his compatriot, Luan, and they will definitely compete for airtime during the live shows. Like Luan, Aharon's mind is in the right place, advocating for equality for sexuality and gender.
