The 39th World Hit Festival was a World Hit Festival, held in Örkendrem, Darkmania. Darkmania was organizing the event for the first time and its remembered for having one of the most exiting votes in its history. It was won by Izmedu with 42 points.

The Contest
On the winner's press conference on WHF38, DaTV confirmed that Darkmania was to host the World Festival in the capital of Darkmania, Örkendrem. This was later confirmed by Ivan Sandic, overseer, that WHF was gonna go to Darkmania for the first time. A budget of around 110 million Darkmanian Danks was set to host the massive event, making it DaTV`s biggest television productions in history. The motto was "Make Your Wishes Come True", reflecting that their wish on hosting this event came true and that they were gonna make someone's wish come true. The organization on the event was however controversial as several darkmanians consider the organization on the festival a "waste of money on a one night-show" and "better spend the money on the debt-issue DaTV has than this show". DaTV responded that they will cut costs for the event. And as a result of the cut, WHF39 was held without LED walls. This was later praised for their successful organizing of the event.
24 nations took part, more than double since WHF38 as only 11 took part there.

Incidents
Technical Problems during Rehersal
There were multiple reports of technical problems affecting Cleca, Merecendi, Kalmarlund and Normandy & Picardy doing the rehearsals. The ladder got hit the hardest when their entry was plagued by problems doing the Jury Final as well. According to DaTV, it was due to bad wiring that was on the mixing table. This was later fixed and it did not affect the live broadcast.
Wrong Points being casted
Besen got 3 points, but the scoreboard displayed 7 points. When Besen cast their points, the mistake was spotted and it was fixed after that point. However, there were reports of mistakes on the scoreboard after this point. This was later confirmed to be a human error by DaTV`s side and fixed.
Sickness
Jërn Trÿsnarnär became ill in the days leading up to the contest. He became healthy just in time for the contest. According to doctor Tÿr Ertÿns, Doctor and a friend of him, he got the flu that "was a pain in the butt".
