Youthsville (Damanian: Ютнсвилле), is the capital of Daminy, and is the country's third largest city (after Yayovan and Archeon). Located on Daminy's central-north coast, the metropolis surrounds one of the regions's largest natural harbours, and sprawls towards the Green Hills to the south. Residents are together known as "Youthsvillians" and constitute the most multicultural city in Daminy and one of the most multicultural cities in the region.

The site of the Damanian Capital, Youthsville was established in 1790 at Youthsville Cove by President Inovan Kelovik. The city is built on flat land surrounded by hills, and is one of the regions largest natural harbours. The hinterland of the metropolitan area is surrounded by national parks, and the coastal regions feature many bays, rivers, inlets and beaches. Within the city are many parklands noting the Damanian National Gardens.

History

1790: founding, construction

When the Kelovik's took control in 1790, they faced many problems, noting the revival of Archeon, and providing shelter for the people who suffered in the burinings. However, instead of making Arcehon the capital of Daminy, like it used to be, they desided to move the capital to new land. This land was near the central-north of Daminy, in the Yotsvalian Region. This decision came at a shock to the whole nation. It was so much as a shock, that even the Sibarian Government decided to go against this idea. However, the Keloviks were determined to build a new city. They came under media fire from across the globe, stating that "they were crazy" and "that the country will be plunged into chaos".

Construction started on the 14 September 1790. Official plans for several districts were drafted up, including the palace, were the ruler of the nation will reside. Almost every building organistation was employed to build this city. During its construction, they faced many strikes and riots, the new Damanian Republic was facing economic problems and their foreign relations were dimishing. However, in the Summer of 1798, they finnally completed the essential parts of the city for it to be livable in. By 1820, the entire planned city was established.

In the mid-1800's, economic problems began to iron out, as trade returned to the region and foreign relations were improving. They implemented a new president, Hermenz Dubrovnic, to reside in Youthsville. It seemed as if things were getting better. However, in the late 1800's, the economic theory of Communism began picking up in Sibaria. The Keloviks saw this as a chance to take control, formally. In 1925, Inagov Kelovik led a rebelion named The Red Rebelion, which caused Hemrenz Dubrovnic to step down as leader and for Inagov to take helm. By 1926, Daminy was a Socialist state.

Urban Structure

Youthsville's Central Business District (CBD) is quite a large part of town, covering 2km2. The Youthsville CBD is bounded on the west side by a ocean, and the east by the Entertainment Disctrict, a tourist and nightlife precinct. The extensive area covered by urban Youthsville is formally divided into 400 suburbs and administered as 20 local government areas. There is no metropolitan-wide government, but the government of The DCT and its agencies have extensive responsibilities in providing metropolitan services to the outer suburbs.

The City of Youthsville itself covers a fairly large area comprising the central business district, its neighbouring districts and a small number of outer suburbs. In addition, regional descriptions are used informally to conveniently describe larger sections of the urban area.
