The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Anti Gay Union eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average. Denizens tend to pay their taxes quickly and quietly, with a median tax rate of 22%. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the public sector, with on average only 45% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 5% of public expenditure.
In Anti Gay Union education, when conducted, is done with sticks and mud. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions.
