In DEN, government departments are frequently completely unaware of one another, such is size of administration departments. Hospital patients are given credit checks upon passing through emergency rooms, as no government provision is made for healthcare in the region. No welfare is provided in the region. Those unlucky enough to fall into unemployment are forgotten and abandoned. Governments within the region are fixated with religious worship, with nations having an inordinately high average of 14% of total government funds devoted to it.

DEN is one of the game's premier raiding regions/organizations. DEN has existed in one form or another for at least ten years. It describes itself as "The most notorious, well-organized, and well-disciplined raider army" in NationStates.

The region was deleted by moderators in April 2016 for using an illegal script.
