The Thunder Territory

The Thunder Territory is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations and only one World Assembly Member.

Throughout The Thunder Territory, traditions are kept strictly throughout the region, punishing upstarts and rabble-rousers harshly. Political freedom does not exist. The region is recognized as an extreme dictatorship. The almost total lack of economic activity in the country is a constant sore spot for politicians. The median tax rate of the region is 25%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 30% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is low priority for governments, accounting for an average of 1% of public expenditure, although commerce is generally seen as a source of tax revenue.

The Thunder Territory does not prioritize education in any meaningful way. The region's law enforcement officials try hard to combat a relatively high level of crime, but are hampered by a lack of funding. Denizens have small defense forces. Public transport is an afterthought, with only -1% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Throughout The Thunder Territory, governments find themselves confused, with administration departments being so bloated that staff do not know what other staff are doing, with an average of over 11% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Governments generally endow their healthcare departments with a large amount of funding, with an average of 6% of government budgets across the region being devoted to healthcare. Welfare is a large part of government expenditure, with denizens amply provided for. Spirituality is a major priority of governments in the region, with a relatively high average of 2% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within The Thunder Territory. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.

About the Region

The Thunder Territory was created in 2016, and it's member nations are all apart of the same school. The region is known to go on raid missions when needed, lead by the nation The Glorious Hypetrain. These Raiding days have since ended Currently, they are attempting to control their officer situation as Magicarnia is trying to take apart the constitution and make a new improved version. The region has lost power and respect in the organizations it was part of, such as the ITDA.

Fall of the Region

After the region was founded, there was a strife between two factions that were formed after the first executive order. One, led by Magicarnia, believed that voter reform was needed as nations began to use alternate accounts to try to increase the chances of whoever they want in office to win for many elections. The faction led by Libertarain Republicans believed that this was fine and the region should remain as it was. This fight led to Court Battles, a new amendment, and various other reform activities. This fight led to disgust in other regions, breaking Embassies and Alliances, and The Thunder Territory was glowered upon by many other regions. This led to the Glorious Hypetrain, among the most respected and the most neutral of these two Factions, to leave the region to the Union of Democratic States (UDS). The fight ended when Libertarain Republicans quit nationstates, but the damage was too severe and the region crumbled. Magicarnia is now trying to make amends and write a new constitution, but it seems that the region will never achieve whatever former glory it had.
