The Illuminati is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 10 nations and only 2 World Assembly Members.
The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of The Illuminati eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. The economy of the region is very strong, with a large number of very powerful trading powers. The median tax rate of the region is 38%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the private sector, with on average only 48% of the economy comprising the public sector. Stoking commercial activity is a major priority for governments, accounting for an average of 9% of public expenditure.
In The Illuminati, denizens are afforded a reasonable education, although funding is somewhat wanting. Crime is low: the region enjoys well-equipped and well-funded police forces, coupled with efficient but fair judicial systems. Defense is an overarching priority for governments within the region. One might suggest they are compensating for something. Due to the lack of any Public transport, streets are packed with cars, bikes, and assorted noisy vehicles.
Nobody really knows about the state of administration in The Illuminati. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 2% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Spirituality is a major priority of governments in the region, with a relatively high average of 3% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.
Social inequality is a major problem within The Illuminati, although some effort has been made to correct the problem. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.
