The VIII VS-Gebirgskorps is a corps-sized mountain infantry formation of the Verteidigungsstaffel. The formation is made up of three divisions, two of which are mountain infantry and a third cavalry, which number around 66,000 troops in total. They are stationed in Neumarck, Rotgeheim, and are commanded by Generalleutnant Edmund Richter.
