BORG COLLECTIVE

BORG COLLECTIVE is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations and only one World Assembly Member.

Throughout BORG COLLECTIVE, traditions are kept strictly throughout the region, punishing upstarts and rabble-rousers harshly. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. The economy of the region exists only in the imaginations of its members. The median tax rate of the region is 33%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the private sector, with on average only 49% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is low priority for governments, accounting for an average of -1% of public expenditure, although commerce is generally seen as a source of tax revenue.

Denizens of the BORG COLLECTIVE are poorly educated, with rampant illiteracy. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Denizens have small defense forces. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 1% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Governments in BORG COLLECTIVE find themselves in a constant state of disarray, with very little co-ordination, only 1% on average of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 2% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Spirituality is a major priority of governments in the region, with a relatively high average of 3% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within BORG COLLECTIVE. The region's landscapes are reasonably good, although the impact of the denizens has had a noticeable effect.
