NationStates World Regions

NationStates World Regions is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 24 nations and only one World Assembly Member.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of NationStates World Regions eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. Families in the region are so obsessed with the economy that the discussion of laffer curves and supply-side reforms over dinner is a regular occurrence in member nations. Inhabitants of the region ultimately pay most of their earnings to the government, as the median tax rate is 78%, or more! The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the public sector, with on average only 42% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 7% of public expenditure.

In NationStates World Regions, denizens are afforded a reasonable education, although funding is somewhat wanting. Crime is low: the region enjoys well-equipped and well-funded police forces, coupled with efficient but fair judicial systems. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 2% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Governments in NationStates World Regions communicate very well amongst themselves, with administration departments working smoothly, with 5% on average of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Governments generally endow their healthcare departments with a large amount of funding, with an average of 8% of government budgets across the region being devoted to healthcare. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Spirituality is a major priority of governments in the region, with a relatively high average of 3% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within NationStates World Regions. Natural environments are quite bad, although some measures have been undertaken to ensure that the environment is protected.
