Sonnel is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 44 nations and only 12 World Assembly Members.
In Sonnel, denizens are welcoming at the sight of strangers and are careful to make a good first impression. In most of the older and non-joke nations, political freedom tends to be relatively high. Older nations dominate the economy, with the founder of the region: Drawkland, holding the top. The economies of nations in the region tend to be dominated by the private sector. Commerce is low priority for governments, although commerce is generally seen as a source of tax revenue.
Denizens of the Sonnel are poorly educated, with rampant illiteracy. Criminality is rife within the region, with law enforcement struggling to cope. Denizens have small defense forces. Public transport is an afterthought. All of this however is mostly due to the large number of joke-nations, as well as near CTE nations occupying the region.
Governments in Sonnel find themselves in a constant state of disarray, with very little co-ordination. Some government provision is made for Healthcare. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Spirituality is a moderate priority of governments within the region.
In Sonnel, Social inequality is total, with wealth being held by a tiny fraction of the region's populace. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.
