Aizengard

Aizengard is a small region, sparsely populated by only 6 nations and without any World Assembly representation.

In Aizengard, denizens enjoy their civil rights, although not too much, or too freely. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. Families in the region discuss laffer curves and supply-side reforms over supper, such is the level of obsession exhibited by member nations. Denizens suffer under an enormous tax burden throughout the region, with a median tax rate of 53%, and much higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tends to be weighted more towards the private sector, with on average only 44% of the economy comprising the public sector. Stoking commercial activity is a major priority for governments, accounting for an average of 14% of public expenditure.

Aizengard does not prioritize education in any meaningful way. There is a very high level of crime within the region and law enforcement resources are stretched thin. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 6% of total government budgets.

Nobody really knows about the state of administration in Aizengard. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Governments generally endow their healthcare departments with a large amount of funding, with an average of 6% of government budgets across the region being devoted to healthcare. No welfare is provided in the region. Those unlucky enough to fall into unemployment are forgotten and abandoned. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within Aizengard. Natural environments are quite bad, although some measures have been undertaken to ensure that the environment is protected.
