Dominion of the Muses is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations and without any World Assembly representation.
In Dominion of the Muses, denizens enjoy their civil rights, although not too much, or too freely. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average, although most are not big enough to be considered heavyweights. The median tax rate of the region is 33%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economy of nations in the region tends to be weighted more towards the public sector, with on average only 47% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 4% of public expenditure.
Dominion of the Muses does not prioritize education in any meaningful way. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 5% of total government budgets.
In Dominion of the Muses, government departments are frequently completely unaware of one another, such is size of administration departments.
