Ixnay

Ixnay is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Ixnay eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average. Denizens suffer under an enormous tax burden throughout the region, with a median tax rate of 65%, and much higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the public sector, with on average only 38% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 3% of public expenditure.

Education is a priority for governments throughout Ixnay, with ample funding being provided and teachers enjoying a great deal of support. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 2% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

The administration departments of Ixnay are all-consuming, soaking up budgets in aid of supporting a bureaucracy of millions, with an average of 21% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Hospital patients are given credit checks upon passing through emergency rooms, as no government provision is made for healthcare in the region. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Governments within the region are fixated with religious worship, with nations having an inordinately high average of 11% of total government funds devoted to it.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within Ixnay. The region's landscapes are reasonably good, although the impact of the denizens has had a noticeable effect.
