Olympia is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations.
The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Olympia eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. The economy of the region is very strong, with a large number of very powerful trading powers. Inhabitants of the region ultimately pay most of their earnings to the government, as the median tax rate is 76%, or more! The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the public sector, with on average only 17% of the economy comprising the private sector. Stoking commercial activity is a major priority for governments, accounting for an average of 8% of public expenditure.
Olympia values education extremely highly, and denizens compete for the largest number of university degrees and sprawling book collections. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Denizens have very well-funded, well equipped defense forces. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 3% of total government budgets.
The administration departments of Olympia are all-consuming, soaking up budgets in aid of supporting a bureaucracy of millions, with an average of 16% of government budgets being devoted to Administration.
