His Serene Highness Prince Adam III von Hohenburg (full name: Adam Florian Lazarus Friedrich Rudolf Maria) is a Braslander intellectual and the head of the Princely House of Hohenburg.

He was born in 1935 as the second child and first son of Prince Gabriel von Hohenburg and Duchess Martha von Kerlich.

As was traditional for members of the high nobility, he went to Rottendorf College, then served at the Prince Florian's Regiment, to which his family had been linked for centuries. Afterwards, he studied Law and Philosophy at the University of Markund. When he graduated, he decided that he would teach instead of managing the family properties. This caused a conflict with his father, but Adam was very firm in his decision and passed on the responsibility to his brother Michael.

Prince Adam taught Philosophy at the University of Markund for many decades. From 1979 to 1991 he served as Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy. In 1991 he was appointed Rector of the Pontifical University of Markund, a position he held until his retirement in 2011.

During the republican regime, Prince Adam was a very vocal opponent to the Palmerson administration, accusing him of trying to destroy traditional Braslander values and undermining the educational system. The Prince was imprisoned for almost a year between 2004 to 2005.

He is a Knight of the Order of St Nicholas, of which he is also Chancellor.

The Prince now lives in Markund but spends some time in Thurwald every year.
