Alexander von Urbach

Count Alexander von Urbach (1807-1858) was a Braslander nobleman. He was the son of Count Karl III von Urbach.

In 1831 he married Countess Therese von Thalensee. They had four children: Amalia (born 1833), Franz (born 1834), Maximiliane (born 1837) and Ludwig (born and died 1838). Therese died in childbirth in 1838. Alexander remarried in 1840 to Countess Leopoldine von Henslen, with whom he had five more children: Paul (born 1841), Ulrich (1843-1856), Anna (born 1845), Cecilie (born 1848) and Elisabeth (born 1851).

The family divided their time between their many residences, scattered across the country. They were very active at Court and mantained close relations with the royal family, serving them in different positions.
