In 1758 he married Countess Mathilde von Falkenhausen, with whom he had seven children: Oskar (born 1759), Elisabeth (born and died 1760), Wilfried (born and died 1761), Moritz (born 1763), Georgine (born 1764), Philipp (born 1766; priest) and Angelika (born 1769).
