Ambassador

An ambassador is a diplomatic official accredited to a foreign sovereign or government, or to an international organization such as the World Assembly. An ambassador is the official representative of his or her country. The term normally applies to the ranking government official stationed in a foreign country. An ambassador normally heads a mission and controls an embassy.
