Lanton Giorgio Grieves (born 14 October 1981), known by his stage name Amelio is an Errikan-Kingstonion singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer and author. Seeing minor success with his first album Lanton Grieves after its 2002 release, Amelio was signed to Epic Records in 2003 and released his breakout album Amelio in 2004. The album spawned number one single Dirty Old Levi's and sold over 1 million copies as well as over 3 million single sales.

His 2007 album Critical Momentum was the best selling album of that year (over 10 million copies sold) with single Long Time Promise being number one for 12 weeks and being the top selling single of 2008 (totaling over 11 million copies sold). Overall Critical Momentum produced over 16 million single sales, is widely considered one of the best albums of the 2001-2010 decade and won six Audi Awards.

Album Beyond the Worldly was released in 2010 to critical and commercial success, selling over 10 million. Lead single Pioneering holds the record for largest jump on the singles chart, moving from #88 to #5 in one week. The single went on to peak at #4 and sold over 3 million copies. Single Leviation was the third best selling of 2011 (behind Adele's Someone Like You and Rolling In the Deep) and has sold over 8 million. Single sales from this album totaled 15 million.

Amelio will release his fifth studio album in the second half of 2014.

Throughout his career Amelio has won thirteen Audi Awards including Artist of the Decade of 2001-2010. He has sold over 22 million albums and over 65 million singles for total sales of over 87 million.
